In Paris on August 26, 1983, the day after the 10th Paris-Brest-Paris randonnee, the AUDAX CLUB PARISIEN and representatives of the countries who organized Brevets Randonneurs Mondiaux (bicycle trips of 200-300-400-600 km necessary for qualification for Paris-Brest-Paris) created a world wide organization named “les RANDONNEURS MONDIAUX”.
